The market opens at 6 AM on weekdays and the serious shoppers know it. If you want the best selection of produce, the lightest crowds, and the most attentive vendors, aim for somewhere between 6 and 8 AM. By late morning it’s busy, and by the time it closes, 1 PM most days, 2 PM on Sundays, the best stuff is long gone.
